Chicken Wings

6 Lbs Chicken Wings (Drums and Flats)
1 Tbsp Avocado Oil
2 Tbsp Baking Powder
1 Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Onion Powder
1 Tbsp Chili Powder

Buffalo Sauce

3/4 Cup Franks Hot Sauce
3 Tbsp Butter
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1/2 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder

Smoked Chicken Wings Directions

    1. Preheat your Traeger or pellet grill to 225° Fahrenheit.
    2. Add the seasonings to a small bowl and mix.
    3. Drizzle the wings with avocado oil and toss to coat.  I find it's easiest to add batches of the wings to a zip lock back to toss them and evenly coat them with avocado oil.
    4. Dump the seasoning mix all over the wings and toss to coat as evenly as possible.
    5. Place wings on the grill to smoke for 30 minutes.
    6. After 30 minutes, turn the heat up to 450°. Flip the wings and cook for another 25-30 minutes, flipping every 5-6 minutes until fully cooked. Flipping helps to cook evenly and prevent burning.
    7. The wings are fully cooked when they reach at least an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit. If you prefer wings that are crispy on the outside, cook to between 180°-190°.
    8. While the wings are cooking, mix up the buffalo sauce if desired. After the wings are finished, toss them with the buffalo sauce to coat or serve it on the side for dipping.
